Michael Camilo Precht has a community Facebook page dedicated to him and it is definitely not a fan page.

The Danish fraudster’s victims in a number of countries set up the page to raise awareness about the man’s habit of posing as a doctor and dupe women into false medical examinations.

The Facebook page ‘Stop Michael Camilo Precht’ had more than 4,000 followers yesterday evening and its creators describe it as a “cry for help”, asking the police to do something about the matter.

The main title, with a subheading ‘Enough is enough!’, is superimposed on a picture of Mr Camilo Precht with a speech bubble containing the words: “I want to be a doctor – but I am not.”

The speech bubble captures Mr Camilo Precht’s ploy everywhere he goes. He claims to be setting up some form of agency that requires models to present a medical certificate and, as a doctor, offers to conduct the examination himself.

Women in Denmark, Norway and Sweden were his victims before he tried the technique in Malta on three unsuspecting young women.

According to Danish media outlet TV2.dk, in August 2013, the 26-year-old was sentenced by a Danish court to three months in prison, of which two months were on conditional discharge.

He admitted to 27 charges, including indecent exposure and pretending to be a physiotherapist to get girls to participate in fake medical examinations.

But the court judgment did not stop him and, last year, media outlets in Denmark and Norway documented fresh cases of girls, some of them minors, who were contacted by Mr Camilo Precht through Facebook.

In one instance he posed as the agent for energy drink Monster in Norway, asking girls whether they were interested to be models.

Mr Camilo Precht’s sexual perversion has also seen him pose as a sports doctor to try and conduct fake medical examinations.

The Facebook page claims that many girls have fallen victim to his game because “he seems very sincere”. “We need to put an end to this disgrace,” the Facebook page appeals.
