Simon Busuttil declared that he is in favour of spring hunting. This is an irresponsible act and I believe that his statement will damage the Nationalist Party.

He is seen by many, especially among the uneducated masses, as a role model.

His opinion carries huge weight and definitely cannot be considered to be the equivalent of just another vote in the referendum.

Hence, I find his public announcement in favour of hunting first as incomprehensible, because I cannot see the justification for senseless destruction of global heritage, and secondly irresponsible because of his position.

I did not expect such an act of irresponsibility and idiocy from a person in his position. Good luck for the next election.
