The Maltese are not gullible. They have been indoctrinated to appreciate democracy. This principle allows them freedom of choice.

They are also influenced by conscience that guides them in the principles of life, especially when that involves moral issues.

Morality has nothing to do with religion but it is the choice between right and wrong.

Hunting, like any sport, is not a political but a moral issue. A vote is personal and secret. Our political leaders, directly or indirectly, are interfering with democracy, with conscience and with moral issues.

These are the prerogatives of the individual, not of a political party.
