The Justice and Home Affairs Ministers of The Netherlands, Slovakia and Malta met today to start preparations in their sectors for their countries' presidency of the EU. The meeting, held in The Hague, discussed the agenda which each country wants to set. 

The three countries will assume the presidency between January 1, 2016 and the end of June 2017. 

Justice Minister Owen Bonnici and Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela attended.

They underlined the importance of immigration, efficiency in the administration of justice, and Mediterranean affairs.
