Bank of Valletta issued a warning today about a fraudulent e-mail asking customers to synchronize their BOV SecureKey device by clicking on a link.

It said customers should ignore all email notices purported to have been sent by the bank requesting personal bank-related information such as the PIN of BOV debit or credit cards, and account numbers, Internet Banking User ID or passcode generated by the BOV Securekey.

The said that it does not request such information from customers via email, telephone or any other means of communication.
