CARUANA. On January 19, at Karen Grech Hospital, RITA, widow of Joseph, at the venerable age of 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Antonietta and her husband Carmelo, Maria and her husband Joseph, Catherine and her husband Joseph, Anna and her husband Edward, Joseph and his wife Anna, Raymond and his wife Marie, Paul and his wife Mary Therese, Rita and her husband Frank, all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karen Grech Hospital tomorrow at 7.45am for St Catherine parish church, Żejtun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8:30am, followed by interment in the family vault at the St Gregory cemetery, Żejtun. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GRIMA – JOSEPH, 19.04.1928-17.01.2015. Taken away suddenly to be with his heavenly family and now in the arms of our Lord. Husband to Ray, father to Linda and Carole, Oupa (grandfather) to Lisa and Steven. No Longer in our life to share, but in our hearts you are always there. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Friday, January 23 at 9am at St Julians parish church followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Appreciated thanks to our family and friends for their loving support during this sad time. Rest in peace, strieħ fil-paċi.

HARRIS. On January 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, Captain HAROLD WILLIAM HARRIS, aged 87, widower of Josette, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Sandy, Fiona and her husband Tancred and his parents Tancred and Jutta Busuttil, his beloved grandson George, his sister Mabel Mizzi, his sister-in-law Joan Warrington, his nephews and nieces Mario, Guido, Joe, Henri, Rosanne, Sylvia, Alan and Roberta and their respective spouses and partners, as well as his friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, January 22 for San Ġwann parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MIFSUD. On January 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, widower of Donia, aged 74, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Susanne and her husband Steve Fagerbakke, his sons Jean-Pierre and his wife Annalise and Ivan and his wife Stephanie, his grandchildren Kelsey, Kieran and Zack, his sister Cettina, his sister-in-law Mary, widow of his brother Salvu, his in-laws Joan, David, Marthese, Joe, Marlene, Saviour, Alfred and Ann, other nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for St Joseph parish church, Msida, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PIROTTA. On January 18, LYDIA, née Cassar, widow of Joseph, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Joe and his wife Elaine, her daughters Marlene and her husband Anthony Gatt and Doreen and her husband Vincent Camilleri, her beloved grandchildren Michelle, Jamie, Carol, Amy, Clark, Maxine, Victoria and Denise, her great-grandchildren Izabella and Alex, her sister Giovanna Fuller, her brother Italo, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated on Friday, January 23 at 2pm at the old ‘Matriċi’ church, St Venera. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SACCASAN. On January 20, at her residence in Sliema, JOSEPHINE, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her nephew Mario Spiteri Debono and his wife Jennifer and their daughter Lara, Silvana and her husband Patrick Zammit and their children Mark and Michaela, her carers Rose Marie and Odette, who looked after her with great love for the past years, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SPITERI. On January 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr ONORAT SPITERI, OFM Cap. aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Franciscan Capuchin Friars, his brothers Emanuel and Tommy and nephews. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 9.30am at the Kalkara Capuchin church, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

APAP BOLOGNA – PAULINE JOSEPHINE (Lina), née Gouder Carbone. Remembering a dearest and most loved mummy and nanna on her 100th birthday (born 20.1.1915). Ever cherished in our memory. Her children Maresa, Elizabeth, Marina and Christine; her grandchildren Andrew, Adrian, Julian and Laura, and her great-grandchildren Zoe, Phoebe, Felix and Leo.

CARUANA DINGLI – STELLA. Treasured and unfading memories of a loving mother, today the fifth anniversary of her passing away. Deeply missed by her son Noel. May she rest in peace.
