For reasons known only to himself, Mark Anthony Falzon in his commentary in The Sunday Times of Malta on January 11, repeated once more an untruth he occasionally writes about me.

It is not true that in 2004 or in any other year, I took the decision to pull off the air the repeat of one of his newspaper analyses on Campus FM. I had nothing to do with that decision; I came to know about it only a few minutes before it took effect and, in any case, did not have the authority to reverse it.

I have no brief to defend the person who took that decision but it is only fair to note that he was acting on legal advice.

I explained all this to Falzon, but notwithstanding this, he has developed a habit of repeating this same untruth from time to time.

Perhaps he considers the repetition of untruths to be one of his rights as a commentator.

I do not begrudge him that ‘right’.
