The current administration of the Labour Party has been confirmed for another two years.

The party said in a statement this evening that the time to submit nominations closed yesterday and the party’s electoral commission, made up of Daniel Micallef (president), Louis Gatt (deputy president), Marc Vella Bonnici (international secretary) and William Lewis (organisation secretary), confirmed that no one in the current administration was being contested.

The electoral commission said it received 19 nominations, from Frans Agius, Mario Azzopardi, Martin Buttigieg, Krista Caruana, Ġuża Cassar, Jesmond Cutajar, Raymond Falzon, Monica Farrugia, Catherine Fenech, Neville Gafa, Martin Mamo, Carlo Mifsud, Michael Parnis, Manuel Rocco, Ethelbert Schembri, Keith Vella, Nikita Zammit Alamango, Alfred Zammit and Jurgen Zammit for the 12 places in the national executive.

The election will be held on January 31.
