I refer to the article on ‘Full-time MPs...’ by Keith Micallef (January 7). In the editing, my comment on MPs and the media got garbled. Here textually is my comment:

“Current MPs suffer from the fact that the media just ignore their bread and butter work.

“If whatever they say or do is rarely noticed, unless they turn against their own party, the likelihood is that they will lose interest or their seat in the next election, or both.

“Press coverage of parliamentary dealings has increasingly diminished in recent years.”
