The deadline for the recent call made by the Malta Film Commission for applications for the Film London Microwave International programme has been extended to January 19.
The call offers film training and professional mentorship for the development and production of a feature film. The project was made possible through funds awarded as part of the European Social Fund Cohesion Policy Operational Programme II 2007-2013, which aims to improve employment opportunities in the EU and aid to develop a skilled and adaptable workforce.
Teams comprising a writer, director, producer and director of photography with a feature film in development at least to first draft script stagemay apply.
Selected teams will be required to attend a mandatory intensive training programme called Microschool, that is due to be held in the first week of February.
The programme is open to filmmakers who are Maltese citizens or hold a permanent residence status in Malta. Relevant guidelines and application forms may be found on the Malta Film Commission website www.maltafilmcommision.com.
