G4S Security Services (Malta) Ltd has enacted a number of internal initiatives within the company to encourage its employees to be more aware and responsible when driving.

“We are all responsible on the road and a little carelessness can have serious consequences and repercussions. G4S has always given top priority to safety and security and this is why we constantly deliver refresher courses to all our drivers and personnel. In fact, we have introduced a new set of safety procedures involving all our vehicles and a new training programme within the company,” said Julian Dimech, managing director of G4S Malta.

“With approximately 8,000 vehicles across the European region and G4S employees on the road at all times of night and day, the company seeks the help and commitment of its employees to achieve a safer environment. We care for all our employees and we want to ensure that all of them, especially those who drive as part of the company’s business, return safely at the end of every shift. Ensuring the safest driving procedures among employees is the first step in the new and improved health and safety procedures triggered by G4S on an international level,” Mr Dimech added.

The training programme involved a series of lectures with the aim of introducing safety driving awareness and how best to avoid accidents.

G4S Malta employs over 730 people.
