Bank of Valletta has received 888 suggestions from its staff about various ways in which it could improve its processes and be more innovative in providing customer value. Twenty-five per cent of these suggestions were deemed feasible and are already being implemented.
Speaking at a ceremony awarding top contributors to this scheme, the bank’s CEO Charles Borg said employees, especially those in customer facing positions, were invited to identify effective solutions that can improve the bank’s service delivery process.
He added it was often recognised that such schemes result in high levels of employee participation and boosted motivation levels.
Two years ago, the staff suggestion scheme was given a significant overhaul and renamed the BOV Employee Engagement scheme.
