New concept coffee shop, wine bar and gourmet food store Rocksalt has opened on the Tigné seafront in Sliema.

More of a wine and whisky bar than a coffee shop or sit-down restaurant, Rocksalt is the place where foodies and wine lovers can mingle over nibbles and drinks, from lunchtime to late night.

The food menu includes a variety of antipasti, platters, dips, salads, soups and jacket potatoes that go down well with the selection of wines on offer.

Occasional specialities, such as fresh oysters and caviar, may be available and the menu changes seasonally with freshness and premium quality ingredients.

A wide variety of wines, whiskies and other alcoholic drinks, cigars, food books, glassware, serving accessories and packaged and deli gourmet foods are also on sale.

“We feel that our discerning clientele is looking for quality food, drinks and ambience, and this is what we aim to provide consistently,” said Rocksalt’s executive manager Steve de Domenico.
