Times Talk last Tuesday discussed the Ched Evans case in light of the fact that Hibernians F.C. expressed interest in signing him on despite his having been convicted for rape.

Joining in the discussion were Lorraine Spiteri, Chairperson of the Malta Confederation of Women's Organisations (MCWO), President Emeritus George Abela, former President of the Malta Football Association, and Jason Azzopardi, Opposition MP and honorary president of Hibernians FC.

The three debated whether convicted criminals should be given second chances and furthermore, whether they should be allowed to occupy prominent positions such as that of a star footballer who is looked at as a role model.
