Db Hotels + Resorts launched its first annual Puttinu Cares break initiative in conjunction with the Puttinu Cares Foundation.

Db Seabank Resort + Spa and db San Antonio Hotel + Spa will this holiday season be hosting a number of families with children suffering from cancer to a two-day stay . The aim is to give parents and their children a few days of relaxation and fun.

The initiative, from which 30 families will be benefitting, is part of the db chain’s corporate social responsibility drive. A specially-designed programme of activities is being organised, including a cooking experience led by the hotels’ executive chef and his team, games and entertainment. The families will have access to all the hotels’ facilities.

Family and Social Solidarity Minister Michael Farrugia thanked the resorts’ management for taking such an initiative and encouraged others to follow suit.

“This initiative helps put up families’ morale and support them to continue fighting this challenge,” he said.

The foundation’s president Victor Calvagna said: “We are delighted to support such an initiative. I’m certain it will provide well-deserved and timely relief to parents and their children. On behalf of these families, we thank the management for their hospitality and social commitment.”
