Pupils, staff, parents and volunteers at Gozo College’s San Lawrenz primary school this year were again busy collecting used plastic bottle caps in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund. The school managed to collect 679 kilograms of plastic caps, which works out at an average of nearly 20kg per pupil. The caps were passed on to Greenpak, which in turn donates money to the fund in proportion to the amount of caps gathered. Year 5 pupils (pictured) also gave a helping hand with weighing and recording of the caps gathered, which helped test their mathematical skills.
