Apostolic Administrator Charles Scicluna toured St Nicholas College secondary school, Naxxar, and met students during a visit held to mark the feast of St Nicholas of Bari.

Mgr Scicluna was welcomed by a school band and took part in various activities, including an encounter with Form 4 students, where he fielded questions.

At a science lab session Mgr Scicluna observed a dry ice smoking bubbles experiment.

He also visited the creative arts and home economics room where students were preparing Christmas logs.

The bishop was visibly moved as he watched students wrapping gifts intended for children at Mater Dei Hospital.

Mgr Scicluna ended his visit by unveiling a mural of St Nicholas painted by the students under the guidance of their art teachers.
