The luxurious cruise liner MSC Fantasia will be calling at Malta on a weekly basis between April 22 and November 4.
The MSC Armonia will also be calling at Malta with the two liners bringing more than 170,000 passengers.
Agents Hamilton Travel said that during discussions they had with the group’s executive chairman Pier Francesco Vago and CEO Gianni Onorato, the company was invited to rethink its decision not to include Malta as a regular weekly destination.
MSC Cruises had dropped Malta as a port of call in 2013. They returned this year carrying 51,000 passengers on one of their smaller liners - the MSC Lirica.
MSC Fantasia will sail from Malta to Messina, Naples, Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona and Tunis.
