The feast of the Nativity iswith us once again and so is the end of the year.

Religion emerges as the desired therapy for the island, regrettably taking the shape of a commercial paradise.

The not-so-lucky are suffering from an inherent comparison with their neighbours and the pampered are at a loss due to material fatigue, easy to notice.

The general feeling is that there is something more and some kind of need to aspire to.

National illnesses show themselves in the symptoms of the age and it is clear that the remedy is not to overdo things.

“The sweetest honey is loathsome in its own deliciousness and in its taste confounds the appetite.” Therefore, go moderately, avoid harm to the spirit and to the body; control the appetite and, more importantly, your thirst; drive with more caution and try to go less all around except in the kindness for others.

Secularism must be handled with care because Malta has little to learn from beyond the horizon to its own ideal advantage and much to reject.

The important point is not to lose what we have, which was given to us by destiny much earlier than most of Europe.

Take life less seriously and respect the opinion of others.

Hear and read not to believe and agree, nor to contradict, but to weigh and consider.

Be well and have fun but keep away from the undesirable regrets of the season.

Furthermore, remember without fail, it is the birth of Christ we are celebrating.
