The Economist’s editorial cartoonist for over 30 years, Kevin “KAL” Kallaugher, has donated a one-of-a-kind original drawing of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to The Malta Community Chest Fund for auction at L-Istrina.

The drawing is of Dr Muscat at the President’s Fun Run.

During a recent visit to Malta as a guest speaker at the The Economist World in 2015 Gala Dinner at the Hilton Malta, Kal became aware of the annual benefit fundraiser.

He unveiled the caricature during the dinner and remarked he was very pleased to make the contribution to the Malta Community Chest Fund on behalf of The Economist and the event organisers Hazlis & Rivas and CountryProfiler.

In his celebrated career with The Economist, Kevin “Kal” Kallaugher has created over 4,000 editorial cartoons and 140 covers.

Kal has pointed his keen eye and sharp pen at important world events from the past 35 years and cartoons lampooning international leaders from Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher to Barack Obama and Angela Merkel.
