Patrick Dalli, husband of Equal Opportunities Minister Helena Dalli, today filed two libel suits against Times of Malta over a series of articles about alleged illegal works on a farmhouse in Zejtun.

In his libel cases, signed by lawyer Edward Gatt, Mr Dalli is claiming that the articles were libellous and aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

The articles, written by journalist Caroline Muscat, dealt with the controversy surrounding the Zejtun farmhouse owned by the Dallis.

One article he complained about was entitled “Minister shuns questions over husband’s property”.
