The President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca has announced the criteria of how funds collected in the 2014 L-Istrina fundraiser will be distributed to the various voluntary organisations. 

Seven categories have been created and these include; childhood and education, work, health, poverty, disability, dialogue and ecology. 

The objectives of the Fund for Voluntary Organisations will be to assist in strengthening of social justice by encouraging action towards voluntary work and social welfare, weighting voluntary work towards vulnerable people and fostering cooperation between voluntary organisations in the aid of those who are most in need. 

The Fund for Voluntary Organisations will distribute money according to the projects which will be undertaken by the various organisations. The criteria have been laid out in a document which can be accessed by clicking below.
