The Nationalist Party has welcomed the government's decision to reopen dialogue with NGOs on irregular migration.

It said it had been a shame that the dialogue started by the former government was  dropped by the present one.

New Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela had a meeting with the NGOs two days ago.

The PN said the government should be honest with NGOs and the people and publish the National Detention Review prepared almost two years ago.

The party said it remained open for dialogue with the government and NGOs in the interests of the people and the migrants.
