The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Malta, on the 17th December 2014, visited St. Vincent De Paul Residence and celebrated the festive season with the elderly residents. Hon. Justyne Caruana, Parliamentary Secretary for Rights of Persons with Disability and Active Ageing, and Laiq Ahmed Atif, President of the Ahmadiyya Community Malta, together, distributed gift hampers to the residents. 

Dr Justyne Caruana explained the work and the services being provided at the St. Vincent de Paul residency. She very warmly extended congratulations to the residents, listened to their issues and wished them all the best and offered her full support to them. She explained that in a few days a new ward, St Joseph 3 will be officially inaugurated after necessary refurbishments. She also explained that work is ongoing in wards St. Francis 3 and St. Francis 4. 

Dr. Caruana and Mr. Atif discussed further cooperation for the wellbeing of the residents. Mr. Atif explained that, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat pays a great importance to serving mankind and looking after the old and the elderly. This activity of the Ahmadiyya Community is a clear manifestation of its love and care for the elderly people of the society. 

He explained that, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat is always committed to help those who are in need irrespective of their faith, creed, nationality or politics (political views), on the basis of ‘humanity first’ and ‘love for all hatred for none’. It organises charity events for the needy people of the society, all around the year, and also in these days of festivals and celebrations.
