A 40 square metre mechanised crib, dubbed by experts as the “most famous crib in the world”, is the highlight of a nativity museum at the crypt of St Augustine’s Church, Valletta, that brings together the art of crib making and historic works of art.

The Caltagirone Crib has featured at the opening of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and in other European cities.
