A holistic national migration policy incorporating the work and responsibilities spread over several ministries is the way forward, Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela said today.

He was speaking during a meeting with non-governmental organisations working in the migration sector, including KOPIN, Malta Emigrant Commission, Integra, Aditus, JRS, Migrants Network for Equality, the Organisation for Friendship in Diversity and SOS Malta.

The minister emphasised that he saw the organisations as partners and not adversaries.

The organisations agreed to contribute to the process.
