A group of 300 promising footballers from 16 nurseries helped raise €15,000 for this year’s l-Istrina during Eurosport’s Football Nursery Fun Event.

Around €1,500 was raised, which was topped up by €10,000 from Eurosport and other donations.

“Such events are very encouraging to us, while underlining the generosity of the Maltese population,” said Christina Peresso, Eurosport managing director.

The 16 nurseries which took part were Attard, Birkirkara, Floriana, Ħamrun Spartans, Lija/Iklin, Marsascala, Melita, Mosta, Mqabba, Qormi, Qrendi, Rabat Ajax, Sock Kids, Valletta, Żebbuġ and Żurrieq.
