The series, which will only be shown on iPlayer, is called Back To Ours and features the BBC show’s stars watching clips from the past three decades from the comfort of their Albert Square homes.

Among the stars taking part are Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace, who play Alfie and Kat Moon, and Diane Parish and Tameka Empson, who play on-screen sisters Denise and Kim Fox.

Richie said: “What a wonderful time I had sitting on the sofa with Jessie watching 12 years of Kat and Alfie. We laughed, we cried and we giggled as we remembered the past 12 years.”

The series will begin in early January in the run-up to the live anniversary week in February.
