• The Culture Commission of the Carmelite Society, Żurrieq, is organising an exhibition of cribs from today to December 24. Opening hours are today between 10.30am and noon and 6 to 9pm; tomorrow to Friday from 6 to 9pm; on Saturday between 9am and noon and from 6 to 9pm; next Sunday between 9am and noon and from 6 to 9pm; and December 22-24 from 6 to 9pm. Entrance to the exhibition is from Pietru Pawl Saydon Street. The commission is also organizing Il-Qabża on Saturday at Wied iż-Żurrieq. Should the activity be cancelled due to bad weather conditions, donations will still be collected.

• Żejtun council’s family sub-committee is organising the following activities: a children’s Christmas party will be held on December 27 from 2.30 to 5pm at the Kids Club in St Gregory garden, Żejtun; a dinner dance will be held on January 10 at the Soreda Hotel, Qawra. • An organ concert by Robert Buhagiar will take place today at 7pm at Żabbar parish church, organised by the civic council in collaboration with the parish priest and clergy.

• An evening of prayer for peace and new evangelisation of the world will be held on Wednesday from 5.30 to 6.30pm at Sarria chapel, Floriana, by the International Movement of Prayer St John XXIII.

• Din l-Art Ħelwa will hold a Christmas concert entitled Enkor’s Christmas Lullaby at Our Lady of Victory church, Valletta, on Saturday at 7.30pm. Sponsors, members and friends are invited to view the resto­ration work while enjoying Enkor Choir’s music. A donation of €10 to contribute to the restoration of the church would be appreciated.
