Yet many are those who have opposed

We heard so much about the roadmap
Budget reintroduced a scheme to scrap
People had their VAT paid back
Car enthusiasts were promised a track

Petrol prices among the highest?
Government says no but might be biased
Car licences increased yet again
Opposition launches a campaign

Road rage and a driver with a bad aim
Seems like inquiry found no one to blame
It took some time for the minister to go
I fear it’s not the end of the show

A mystery car parked on a helipad
Potholes have never been so bad
Minister Mizzi going to work by bus
Now a monorail is being promised to us

New Year’s resolutions each year we write
We promise never to drive through a red light
My message to you is don’t drink and drive
There’s a better chance of staying alive
