I would like the Transport Minister to answer these questions about why certain laws and regulations are not upheld. Why do cars not use their indicators to signal which direction they are going to turn? Why do cars park on bus stops without getting fined? Why are some people allowed to drive without a seat belt? Why are some people allowed to drive while texting or talking on their phones?

Why are people allowed to double park? Why don’t drivers give way to buses and then expect public transport to run on time?

Why do officers of the law turn a blind eye to traffic infringements which frequently occurs under their noses?

How can we expect public transport to improve and society in general to improve if basic laws are not upheld?

Why do we have law enforcement agencies if we do not need them?
