Le Méridien St Julian’s Hotel & Spa in Balluta Bay marked the beginning of the festive season with an innovative launch celebrating gingerbread.

A children’s choir from Stage Coach School interpreted various carols for guests in the lobby area before a giant Christmas cupcake by Le Meridien kitchen brigade was presented and cut.

Individual cupcake portions were sold throughout the following weekend in a bid to raise funds for L-Istrina.

Guests were then invited to the ballroom where DJ Mykill, accompanied by a saxophone player, spinned some groovy tunes.

Executive chef Sven Cepon and his team displayed various food stations, including carvery and pasta stations, allowing guests to have a taste of the Gingerbread Christmas menus available at Le Meridien this year.
