Bay Street Hotel is to undergo a major, multi-million euro upgrade in preparation for its ambitious business plan for 2015.

Closing for a designer-led concept refurbishment and re-opening in March 2015, Bay Street will provide the industry with a new four-star hotel forming part of an international leading hotel chain that will cater for the travel-savvy urbanites. be.Hotel, as the new property shall be named, will emanate modern luxury and ooze a retro-pop style that appeals to visitors who seek a fresh, designer-led experience.

The guests’ public areas will also exude a feeling of Maltese culture and heritage, portrayed in a fresh, modern and zany way that appeals to the design-inspired visitor.

be.Hotel will retain its current 108 de-luxe rooms and 22 de-luxe studio apartments. All rooms are to be finished to the highest modern, contemporary design standards to ensure the guests’ ultimate comfort.

The use of bright colours, notably yellow and fused with black, green and plum, shall project a vibrant look and feel.

Among the other facilities are the rooftop pool with panoramic views of St George’s Bay, a fully functioning, state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre located on the seventh floor, including an eight-person jacuzzi, a fitness room and a highly adaptable, multifunctional room for corporate guests for a variety of uses, ranging from small meetings to theatre-style mini conferences.
