Twelve Maltese carols were recorded by no less than six popular Maltese singers with the aim of collecting funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund and l-Istrina.

The carols, featured in a CD entitled “Kewkba: Għanjiet tal-Milied” , include a mixture of traditional Maltese Christmas Carols and new ones such as “F’Lejlet il-Milied”, which was written by the late Lino Spiteri.

The CD, produced by Dominic Galea, aims at reviving traditional Maltese Carols while at the same time giving a helping hand for the national fundraising campaign, l-Istrina. The whole project was sponsored by APS Bank, which means that all income will be directly donated to l-Istrina.

The line-up of singers include Glen Vella, Corazón, Leontine, Doreen Galea, Eliza Azzopardi, and Bernardette Mangion. Two tracks were performed by choir Vocal Teen Troupe under the direction of Glen Vella.
