Supermodel Kate Moss makes a young boy’s dreams come true as he joins her at a glossy fashion shoot in a BBC Christmas drama.
In the first images from her appearance in the BBC One adaptation of David Walliams’s book The Boy in the Dress, she is seen in haute couture with her admiring young co-star Billy Kennedy.
In the film, to be screened on Boxing Day, she appears as herself in a fantasy scene after Walliams asked her to get involved in the film. She previously appeared with the comic and writer last year in a sketch for Comic Relief, although he was not on set when she shot her role in the new film, which tells the story of Dennis (played by 13-year-old Kennedy) who becomes enthralled by the world of fashion to escape his drab life.
In the film she wears a floor-length loaned by Vivienne Westwood, with diamonds and shoes from David Morris and Manolo Blahnik. Walliams has said of her appearance: “The Boy in the Dress has an all star cast, but Kate Moss really is the icing on the cake.”
Adaptations of Walliams’s books Gangsta Granny and Mr Stink have been adapted for Christmas in previous years.
The Boy in the Dress also features Jennifer Saunders,Tim McInnerny and James Buckley.
