The LG G3 is a flagship phone that offers improvements over everything that was not liked about the LG G2. It’s a solid handset that builds on the success of previous models, sizes up well with an ever-evolving competition and offers Android Lollipop out of the box. What’s not to like?

The LG G2 is a good phone with a lot to offer. It’s a steady improvement with a few added touches. This version has a microSD slot, a metallic case and even a removable battery.

The LG G3 features a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD screen running at 534ppi. To compare, the iPhone 6 only manages 326ppi. While that doesn’t guarantee a better user experience, it does add sharpness and clarity to the display. Given that screen, the phone measures 146.3 by 74.6 by 8.9mm but weighs only 149g. That makes it slightly bigger than many competitors, but not so much that it becomes a detraction.

Like most flagship phones right now, the LG G3 runs a 2.5Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 801 with 2Gb of RAM for the 16Gb version and 3Gb RAM for the 32Gb version. Other highlights include NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, infrared blaster and a great camera. The 13Mp camera comes with laser focus and a very simple interface that lets you play with the image or the camera itself. There is also a 2.1Mp front camera with wider-angle lens and gesture control. This last is a neat trick that allows you to take selfies just by moving your hand.

Overall, the LG G3 is an excellent phone. Android Lollipop makes life easier for users too, making this quite the compelling package.
