Motoring enthusiasts are living a dream today as they get to drive a range of supercars in including the latest Porsche models, in this year’s edition of Paqpaqli Għall-Istrina.

The event at Hal Farrug, continues until 4pm.

To make their day that little bit more special, a professional instructor has been flown in from Germany to give advice on how to experience the best performance of the Porsche 991 GT3 - the latest road/track model of the brand.

Two Nissan GT-Rs and two Radical Prosports are also available rides against a donation for the Malta Community Chest Fund.

But the main attraction is the Audi Quattro S1 built by Prospeed Motorsport and driven by the 2014 FIA European Hillclimb Champion Nikolay Zlatkov of Bulgaria. He is performing his rally circuit run four times.

A Toyota TS030, the first ever petrol-powered hybrid car to take part in the FIA World Endurance Championship is another attraction.

The event is also featuring stunt shows involving two police cars chasing a getaway vehicle, bikers and Malta’s Team Maximum Lock, including a number of drifting performances.

The event this year also includes a soapbox car competition during which participants are running their ingenious motor less vehicles around a purposely built track.
