Norm Rejection, Cyberia and Blue Sky Abyss will be sharing the same bill during a live music event at Rookies.

Norm Rejection are Wil Pace on vocals, Michael Briguglio on drums, Sean Vukovic on guitar and Rex Grech Santucci on bass.

The band is known for its songs of rebellion and liberation and for its powerful live performances. It fuses different styles into a distinctive metal sound.

The band is fresh from the launch of their latest album, The Radical Underground, which celebrates 20 years of the band’s existence. The album will be available for sale during the event together with other merchandise.

Cyberia’s self-styled retro digital rock, post-industrial sound comes courtesy of Gilbert ‘Kuzza’ Zahra, Andrew Christie, Joseph ‘Il-Pannol’ Pace and Antoine Vella. Although the band has been together for about four years, it was only recently that Cyberia resumed regular live gigs with two performances at Remedy, Paceville, re-consolidating its crowd, particularly with tracks like Maskri and L-iswed Jiskura.

Blue Sky Abyss are Etienne Turner on vocals, Robert Callus on guitars, Daniel Barta on guitars and backing vocals, James MG on bass guitar and Benjamin Pullicino on drums.

The band started out in the late 1990s under the name To No Avail before it was restructured under the new name in 2011. The five-piece, melodic hard rock formation played their original pieces live for the first time in 2012 V-Gen. The band’s first single, Beauty and the Beast, was recorded at Spinesplitter Studio.

Distortion takes place on Friday at Rookies, Buġibba.
