BONELLO. On December 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY ROSE, nèe Bugeja, aged 80, widow of Noel V. Bonello, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Lovingly remembered by her beloved children Martin and Joanna and their respective partners, her grandsons Danny, David, Damien and Matthew, her brother John Bugeja, and other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at St Gregory parish church, Sliema, on Saturday, December 6 at 8.45 am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to Ursuline Creche will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BUTTIGIEG. On November 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL of Ħamrun, widower of Imelda, aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Anthony and his wife Anna, Edgar and his wife Doris, Joseph and his wife Lizzie, Michael and his wife Margaret, Raymond and his wife Rita and Mario and his wife Miriam, his 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, his brothers, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

DLĦ public lecture

A public lecture by Charlene Vella, titled ‘Mdina and Rabat before the Knights: the cradle of Malta's Renaissance’ will be held on December 11 at 6.30pm at Din l-Art Ħelwa, 133, Melita Street, Valletta. Entrance is free but donations will be appreciated.
