Ingredients
1 tbsp cornstarch
Splash of cold water
100g white sugar
120ml soy sauce
60ml cider vinegar
1 garlic clove (minced)
Pinch ground ginger
Pinch ground black pepper
850g skinless chicken thighs

Method

In a medium-sized pan, sear the chicken from both sides. Remove from the pan and, in the same pan, you can do the sauce.

Over low heat, combine the cornstarch, cold water, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and ground black pepper.

Let simmer, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens and bubbles.

Put the seared chicken in the sauce and cook for 10 minutes. Turn it and cook for another 10 minutes.

Can be served with rice or fresh vegetables.
