BRINCAT. On November 30, PAUL, aged 74, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne, née Vella, his son Adrian, his daughters Maureen and her husband Chris Montebello and Roberta and her husband Stuart Abela, his grandchildren Luca, Krista, Alexander and Nick, his brothers Anthony, Philip and Peter and their wives, his wife’s brothers and sisters, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. BUGEJA. On December 1, CHARLES, of Paola, ex-Section Leader, Finance, Malta Drydocks, widower of Lucy, aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Charles and his wife Catherine, and Mariel, his grandchildren Claudia and Kristian, his sister Lily, widow of Charles Aquilina, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9.30am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CAMILLERI. On December 1, at his residence, Dr JOSEPH A. CAMILLERI, passed away peacefully, aged 82. Loved and remembered by his beloved and devoted wife Carrie, his children Edith, Cynthia and Johnathan and their respective spouses Beppe Hili, John de Giorgio and Yolande Coleiro; his loving grandchildren Bianca, Dirk, Yasmin, Amber and Amelia; his brothers and sister, other relatives and friends. CARACHI. On November 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMILIA (Amy), passed away peacefully, aged 97, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Pauline, sive Lena Naudi, her nieces and nephews, Lucienne Zahra, Marguerite Naudi, Isabel Scerri Ferrante, Joan Stilon, Robert Carachi, living in Scotland, Lilian Formosa and Marion Blake, living in Canada, Sylvana Calleja, Herbert, Victor and Jesmond Carachi, and their spouses. HURLE-HOBBS. On December 1, at Pax Et Bonum, IDA, passed away peacefully at the age of 95, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her beloved son John and his wife Sheila, her sister-in-law Myriam Mifsud of Canada, her nephews and nieces, specially Anna and Elizabeth, all their families and her very dear friends Jane and Barbara. Tree talks in Malta and Gozo

Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar’s Tree Group, in cooperation with the Hub for Ethnobotanical Research, which forms part of the President’s Foundation for the Well-Being of Society, is organising two talks to promote respect and care of trees.

The speakers are Ian Lansely, a professional consultant arborist and international lecturer on forestry, arboriculture and ecology. He manages trees in properties such as Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Marlborough House, Hampton Court and the Tower of London and Antoine Gatt, a professional landscape architect and lecturer currently managing the Life Med Green Roof project at the University, which is researching and disseminating the potential of green roofs locally.
