Two young waterpolo players from Sliema ASC are currently in Budapest where they are attending an intensive winter-long training camp.

Mark Fenech and Nicholas Bugelli have embarked on this adventure in September when they joined the ranks of OSC Ujbuda who are currently second in the Hungarian top division.

Both Fenech and Bugelli are undergoing daily multiple training sessions with the club’s senior squad under the guidance of coach Vincze Balazs, who last season was in charge of Sliema.

Bugelli and Fenech expressed their gratitude towards Sliema ASC for making this experience possible.

“Training at such intensity with so many world champions is more than a dream come true,” Bugelli said.

“We can only repay the faith shown by our club Sliema by making the best out of this opportunity and train hard to become better players.”

During their stay in Hungary, the two Sliema players have the opportunity of gaining valuable playing time with Fenech featuring for the club’s B team while Bugeja plays for Ujbuda’s youth team.
