The Song Bird Association Malta (SBAM) will this weekend be organising its eighth annual finch show.
Being shown will be greenfinches, hawfinches, siskins, goldfinches, crossbills and cardinals among others, including various mutations and hybrids being displayed in this specialised show. These birds will be competing for various awards and will be judged by three international judges. Club members and all finch fanciers may participate.
The show is being held at Mount Carmel Hospital, Attard, in collaboration with the Mount Carmel Hospital Sports and Culture Club. It will be open tomorrow, from 9am to 8pm and Sunday from 8.30am to 5pm.
Leading outlets will be present, displaying their specialist products and a section is reserved for birds being offered for sale by local fanciers as well as imported birds.
