Valletta Lions Table Football Club returned home in festive mood recently after winning their second title of the season at the Grand Prix in Wales.
Last month, the team from the capital took the honours in the International Open.
They maintained their upward trend after another fine showing in Cardiff.
In all, 21 teams took part in the Grand Prix with the Lions being drawn in Group Seven.
They won their section in style after identical 4-0 victories over Kent and Yorkshire.
In the first knock-out stage, the Lions knocked out German side TSC Royals Kaisermuhlen 2-1 to book their place in the quarter-finals against Belgian side Stenbert, currently third in the world ranking list.
Stenbert were overwhelmedas the Lions won the match 3-0.
Their next opponents were sporting rivals Valletta Subbuteo Club in the semi-finals. The game finished 3-1 in favour of the Lions who made it a double over Valletta SC this season.
Hennuyer, the other Belgian side in the competition, made it to the final from the other half of the draw.
The match could have gone either way but in the end the Lions roared louder to win the contest 2-0.
Mark Gauci captained the Valletta Lions squad in Cardiff. The other team members of the winning team were Angelo Borg, Roderick Vassallo, Justin Finch and Darren Clarke.
The Lions are now looking to make it back-to-back Grand Prix wins with another fine showing in Milan next month.
