A 61-year-old man from Valletta was today remanded in custody pleading not guilty to defiling a 17-year-old boy on a bus.
The court heard how Carmel Grech used to go to the boy’s workplace and harass him. On one occasion he followed him onto a bus and attempted to grab his genitals. The court heard how this was not the first time he harassed him.
He was charged with harassing the minor, defiling him and offending public morals.
Magistrate Carol Peralta denied bail, at least until the teenager, who was present in court, testifies.
Inspector Daryl Borg prosecuted. Lawyer Anthony Cutajar appeared for the accused.
