The great wall of Salina (I call it the Salina bastion) is indeed an eyesore.

It could have been avoided by just cutting more rock – leaving enough space at road level for the planting of trees, then cutting further inwards at different levels and planting hardy flowering shrubs at each level.

This would have left a more natural setting and been much cheaper.

Would it be too much to hope that this eyesore is re-moved and then replaced by what I suggest?
