Chart stars One Direction have been toppled from their position as the UK’s number one dream dates – by characters from movie hit Frozen.

The boy band have topped the bestselling calendar list for three years but have now been deposed by the likes of Elsa, Anna and Olaf from the Disney cartoon.

A chart compiled by official licensed calendar firm Danilo shows One Direction are at number two for their 2015 product, while online video game Minecraft is the third biggest seller of the year.

Top Gear – which was at number nine last year – has slipped out of the top 20 entirely as has TV show Big Bang Theory (last year’s seven) and Justin Bieber, who had been at 13 in 2013.

Frozen is making its debut in the calendar chart this year, straight in at number one.

Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan also makes the top 10 for the first time, and becomes the highest ranked female star in the list. The actress is at number 10.

Last year’s highest woman was Cheryl Fernandez-Versini who, despite returning to her profile role on The X Factor and the pop charts – has slipped from 11 to 15 and is now behind 11th-placed model Kelly Brook who has stepped up from last year’s 16.

Behind 1D, the next bestselling music act is Aussie act 5 Seconds of Summer, while fellow music stars The Vamps are at number eight.

Sir Cliff Richard is still a hot date at nine, although he is down considerably on the number six spot he has occupied for the previous two years. He has had a year he may wish to forget after his home was raided by police investigating an alleged historic offence, although he has dates to look forward to in 2015 with concerts to mark his 75th birthday.

The highest male new entry is actor Benedict Cumberbatch at number 18.
