A presentation entitled ‘Cruising photography’ will be delivered by yachtsman and Malta Cruising Club member Patrick Genovese on Friday at 7pm at the Waterfront Hotel, Sliema, organised by the club.

Genovese will focus on basic techniques one can use to take better photos and address some of the technicalities related to choice of photographic gear and its safeguard at sea.

His presentation will include photos of colourful and gorgeous sunsets and sunrises in a tranquil anchorage, dolphins playing on a boat’s bow wave, a classic yacht under a cloud of canvas, and an early morning landfall shrouded in morning mist.

An active member of the Malta Photographic Society since 2002, Genovese has taken part in various exhibitions and competitions, and several of his works have won awards.

His preferred topics are travel, nature, landscape architecture, theatre and stage.

During the event, information will be given on the club’s next event – a casual Sunday brunch next Sunday at Selmun.
