The New Citroen C4 Picasso has sold 160,000 vehicles to date, of which more than 100,000 since the start of the year.

Launched in June 2013 as a five-seater and in September 2013 as a seven-seater (Grand C4 Picasso), the New Citroen C4 Picasso is confirming its customer appeal month after month. Linda Jackson, CEO of Citroen, said: “One year after launch, the New C4 Picasso is building excellent market momentum. This performance reflects the warm welcome it received in the media right from the start, and the many awards it has picked up, including Germany’s prestigious Golden Steering Wheel.

“This New C4 Picasso embodies the best in MPV design, and the best brand expertise in design, comfort and technology, with optimised running costs. So it is completely in line with the expectations of customers today, as illustrated by its leadership in Europe.”

The New C4 Picasso is building on its many strong points to outperform the competition. Illustrating a generational leap in MPV design, it expresses Citroen’s new product values with more design, more comfort and more useful technology.

All this with optimised running costs: the vehicle is lighter (-140 kg compared with the previous generation) and fitted with efficient new-generation engines to cut both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions (best in class: from 3.7 l/100 km and 96g of CO2/km for the BlueHDi 120 engine with the 6-speed manual gearbox – Euro 6).

The New Citroen C4 Picasso reflects yet another new take on the MPV concept, to continue the bold approach initiated by its predecessors and open a new page in the success story of Citroen MPVs with the Picasso signature (Xsara Picasso, C4 Picasso, C3 Picasso), sold in more than 3.3 million examples to date.
