I refer to John Guillaumier’s letter ‘Where was God?’ (The Sunday Times of Malta, November16). Didn’t even Mother Teresa have her moments of doubt? So why blame the atheists when they ask where was God?

Well, where was God when his only begotten son was about to be crucified? Don’t you think that God could have saved his beloved son and spared him from all the suffering he was about to go through for the sake of our sins?

Didn’t Jesus prove enough who He was while on earth?

So why should a speck of dust like me doubt His existence, or question his whereabouts during World War I and the Holocaust?
